			<h1>Suspect </h1>
			<P>A suspect is the person thought to be responsible for committing an offence.  If this is you, you may have been arrested at the scene of a crime or at a later time following an investigation.  It might be that you were arrested straightaway or that a warrant was issued for your arrest, but when either of these things have happened it means that legal proceedings are active.</p>
<p>You will be arrested by the arresting officer and usually taken to a designated police station (one with a custody area).</p>
