			<h1>Security Guard </h1>
			In some courts, security guards or prisoner escorts stand in the defence box with the defendant.  This is usually in serious cases where the defendant has been waiting in prison for his/her trial to take place – this is called on remand.  Some courts also employ security staff to protect other areas of the courtroom or building.
